Invited to 11th National Seminar on “Powering the Indian Economy Success Story

JIMS, Vasant Kunj organized 11th National Seminar on “Powering the Indian Economy Success Story” on 16th March, 2016 at IIC, New Delhi. Dr. Ravi K. Dhar, Director, JIMS and Smt. K. Kavitha, Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, Telangana participated in the Inaugural Session.

 

Dr. (Mrs.) Malti Goel, President, Climate Change Research Institute was invited to deliver a Keynote lecture in the Panel Discussion on ‘Renewable Energy’ on this occasion. During her speech, she focused on Renewable Energy and Economics of Climate Change. Representing Climate Change Research Institute, she said that climate change is most critical challenge of 21st Century which is giving a new thrust to renewable energy development as never before. A target of 175 GW of renewable energy has been set to achieve by 2022. It is likely to affect the future economics in a big way. She said clean energy industry seems to be one of the highest growth industries worldwide and India has one of the biggest renewable energy expansion plans. While discussing the basic of science of renewable energy & its technology perspectives, she said as young management graduates today you are observing and understanding the world growth profiles, tomorrow you yourself would be driving the growth.

 

A large number of eminent personalities, professors and JIMS students were among the participants. Other topics included ‘Start ups’ and ‘Make in India’.
