Dr. (Mrs.) Malti Goel, President Climate Change Research Institute attended the Climate Action Innovation Forum 4th – 8th December, 2023, as ‘Climate Leader’ invitee. The event was held at Madinat Jumeirah, UAE.

The Opening Ceremony was chaired by H.E, Olafur Ragnav Grimssion, President of Iceland. He said key challenge before us now is not sustainable future, but health of the people.
The issue of Regulations and Financing Opportunies, Data availability / Transparency and Technology Transfer were discussed.
Presidential Keynote Address was delivered by H.E. Kiaus Werner Iomanies President of Romania. He said climate change impacts on agriculture is increasing. At COP-26, Romania was first to join Agro technology Innovation.
Global Stocktake
For achieving Net zero goals, the following was proposed.

• Tripling of Renewable Energy Capacity
• Doubling of Energy Efficiency
• Not  using fossil fuels

Governments would need to build strong partnerships with industry R&D, Policy and NGOs.

Other sessions on Sustainable Innovation Forum, Mission Innovation and Hydrogen Transition Summit in Climate Action were attended.
